PCRM needs your help! We want to demonstrate to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that there are many thousands of people who support alternatives to animal testing. Initially we set a goal of collecting 50,000 petitions to deliver to the FDA—thanks to our members and supporters who took action we have exceeded that number. Every name represents one more reason for the FDA to promote nonanimal testing methods to save human and animal lives. Act now and sign PCRM’s petition!

I strongly urge you to do everything in your power to require that animal testing of drugs and devices is replaced by humane and effective nonanimal methods. As you know, proven and less expensive alternatives to animal testing exist and are widely used in Europe. Yet, under U.S. law, countless animals are tortured and killed each year when clear evidence exists that such tests are not predictive of human outcomes. As a PCRM member, I urge you to say no to animal cruelty in 2009!
